The U12 County Hurling Skills competition was held last week end. All clubs were allowed to enter three players and after a fiercely competitive competition Shane O’Donnell of St. Eunans took the top prize with 200 points. Second place went to Liam O’Doherty of Buncrana and third to Cormac Finn of St. Eunans. Congratulations to all the young hurlers who took part.
A three day County Camp was held for U17, U16, U15, U14 and U15 Hurlers. It was exceptionally well attended with 80 players turning out for clubs all over the county. Top quality coaches from Ulster: Kevin Kelly, Kevin Hinphey and Michael Glover took the three days of intense training. The camp was a great success. All in attendance would like to thank the Letterkenny Gaels for their generous use of facilities. The camps were lucky to be blessed with good weather as torrential rain occurred before and after the sessions each day.
An U10 County Hurling Blitz was held on Sunday where the standard was very high. There were 5 clubs in attendance. Gweedore, Setanta, Letterkenny Gaels, St. Eunans and Aodh Ruadh. The blitz took place in Pairc na Gael and was hosted very well by the Letterkenny Gaels
