DONEGAL LADIES GAA are up in arms after a fixture postponement bid was turned down – forcing two of the county’s stars to miss next weekend’s All-Ireland Quarter Final.
And it’s not as if Geraldine and Nicole McLaughlin don’t have a good reason for NOT wanting to play.
Their sister Lorna is getting married on the same day as the match – Saturday week.
It means the county side will have to field without the Termon stars.
The Donegal county board had asked for a date change but this was turned down by the national ladies GAA committee in Croke Park.
The game goes ahead on Saturday week as planned in Dr. Hyde Park, Roscommon, and forms part of a double bill with the meeting of Monaghan and Mayo. The Donegal game against Cork throws-in at 12.30 pm.
