They could have chosen Barbados, the Bahamas or Bali for a well-earned break.
Olympic boxing medalists Michael Conlan and Paddy Barnes will take things easy in the coming days with a holiday.
But instead of an exotic location the pair have chosen somewhere a little closer to home – Bundoran in fact!
The friends say they now plan to travel to Donegal shortly after taking part in a reception for the Irish Olympic team in Dublin later today.
Bruising bronze medalist Barnes revealed “I’m looking forward to a few days in Bundoran.
“It’ll be good fun – it has plenty of amusements and I’m looking forward to a spin on the bumper cars.”
His team-mate Conlan was equally looking forward to the simpler things in life.
“There’s a class pier in Bundoran which I love jumping off. I can’t wait,” said the bronze medal winner.
