Donegal athletics supremo Patsy McGonagle is hoping the world’s fastest man can make a dash to the Finn Valley Athletics Club.
McGonagle, the coach of the Irish Athletics team, is hoping Usain Bolt can officially open the club’s new state-of-the-art facility next year.
Patsy has already been in contact with Bolt’s agent Ricky Simms, who is from Milford and is a former member of Finn Valley.
But everything depends on Bolt’s schedule.
Patsy said “Getting Usain Bolt to officially open our brand-new 400m track, the only blue track in Ireland, would be just unbelievable.
“”We’ve discussed this with Ricky and it could happen – but it’s down to luck and timing. We understand how busy he will be after the Olympics,” said Patsy.
