An inquest into the death of Donegal-born journalist Eugene Maloney following an alleged assault on Camden Street last June, has been adjourned pending the outcome of the Garda investigation.
Dublin Coroners Court was told a post mortem examination revealed the former Irish Independent reporter died from a brain injury.
Eugene Maloney’s brother, Sean gave evidence of formally identifying his body at the City morgue, while Gardai told the Coroner a man has been charged in connection with the death.
The inquest has been adjourned until criminal proceedings are completed.
