The Hurling Minor Championship was played in O’Donnell Park on Sunday between Buncrana and Setanta. Great defence on behalf of both teams resulted in a low scoring game. The first half saw Buncrana one point ahead but the second half saw greater determination from both sides. Buncrana held on for a one point win in a closely contested game.
The U16 Development Squad Academy Blitz will be held on 4th August. The U14 Development Squad Academy Blitz will be held on 11th August. Both blitzes, to be held in Newry, start at 11am and finish at 2pm. It is anticipated that 9 teams will compete in this competition. The U14 Blitz will be held in Belfast (TBC) with an expected 9 teams also competing. For further details contact Kevin Kelly, Ulster Hurling Programme Officer.
