The national underage track and field campaign came to a conclusion over last weekend again at Tullamore with added good performances rollling on from the previous days that saw Finn Valley lead the medal table well they were still up there ahead after day 3 with outstanding contributions from John Kelly Shot gold at 16.80m ,gold discus at and silver in javelin at . It was yet again a remarkable day for the St Johnstone boy who did his job perfectly in what has been a hectic few weeks and this is set to continue with a number of high profile competitions in Bedford and Aberdeen . Add Blaithnaid Patton a silver in triple jump ,Jade Leeper a bronze in the shot and Janine Boyle a bronze in the 200m and you get a flavour of the diversity of the young Valley brigade . Oisin Gallen posted a solid pb in the 1500m and there is so much more to come from him as he has shown asolid committment to the sport in recent months .
