UNDER 8 Coaching will take place on Wednesday from 6pm to 7pm and on Saturday from 10am to 11am. The under 12s training is Monday and Wednesday next week at 7. The seniors recorded a great home win on Sunday. It did not look great at half time but a spirited second half and a brilliant Owenie McGarvey point sealed the victory. The Reserves got a draw but will fell they let the two points slip but it was another strong performance. Free weekend this weekend. Good luck to Donegal this weekend in the Ulster Final.
Peil na mBan. u16, minor and ladies training Tues and Thurs at 8pm in Banks. u16s is due to start on 2nd of August v Naomh Conail, 14th v Dungloe,16th v Cloich Cheann Fhaola. Minor starts September 15th, 22nd, 29th.The u13 competition starts Wed 15th August. We need all players out training for these competitions. We have 10 players picked to take part in the Donegal U12 development squad. This programme starts this Friday at 6pm in the Banks for the west division and will continue for 8 weeks. Aoife McDonald Donegal ladies captain is head coach with the West Division.
Naomh Mhuire GAA Club are hosting a BIG SPORTS AND FUN DAY on Sunday August 19th at the Banks. The day will act as a fundraiser as well as a great day for all children and Adults. A full day of activities with races, football, food stalls, arts and crafts, 5k race, gourmet burgers, strong man and woman, long kick, golf, etc. With development due to start shortly on improved facilities including additional dressing rooms, etc all support is greatly appreciated and this should be a great family day for all ages.
The 2nd day of the 5th in the Naomh Mhuire Surf Day series in Carrickfinn is set for this Friday 20th July, 2pm to 8pm. Booking is essential and slots are available in 3 age groups and times. Slots will be filled on a first come first served basis: 5 – 8 years – from 2 till 4pm, 8 – 12 years from 3 till 6 pm, 12+ from 4pm till 8pm. A course in child protection and good practise in the GAA will be held in the clubhouse. Anyone interested in doing this worthwhile course contact Childrens Officer, Dónal O’Séarcáigh. This course covers all from Adult to u/age mentors in every aspect of their roles within the club. It is a two hour course.
The club had its annual church gate collection last weekend and a huge thanks to all who supported.
