TAKE A MIDNIGHT WALK ON THE WILD SIDE – IN STRANORLAR

Fancy doing something a lot different for charity tomorrow night?

You don’t have to jump out of a plane or shave your armpits.

All you have to do is to turn up in your pyjamas and go for a midnight walk!

This is the 2nd midnight madness walk, organised by the Sean O’Hare Unit in Stranorlar.

The idea of the walk is a fun fundraiser, walking around the Twin Towns at midnight in optional pyjamas, followed by hot chocolate and cookies afterwards.

Last year over 60 people braved the night, dressed in pyjamas, the St Mary’s ladies team walked in their gaelic gear, and it was a good night.

McElhinneys have sponsored the event this year, so there’s a t-shirt for all finishers, with a draw as well for entrants.

The comfort fund is used to help service users have a holiday, take day trips, and any other treats.

The walk takes place at 12 midnight this Friday the 13th of July (fingers crossed) at Ard Greine Court, Stranorlar, and is open to all, young and old. Adults pay €10 while children go free.

The walk is being started by Michael Gallagher, or Mickey the Post, the famous Glenfin weatherman, and entrants are advised to come early for a special warm-up session!
