Congratulations to the Donegal Senior mens and ladies teams that both defeated Tyrone last weekend to secure their place in their respective Ulster finals. The ladies final takes place on the 15th July against Monaghan, while the men take on Down on Sunday the 22nd. All applications for tickets for the men’s finals to be with Martina Kelly by Wednesday the 11th of July. Ticket applications will only be accepted from club members.
Minor Board:
The minor boy’s take on Newton this Friday the 29th at 7.30 in Newton in the league semi final. This semi final was secured with two excellent results over Downings and Glenswilly last week.
The Under 14s had a great win over Milford in a fantastic exhibition of shooting with a 7-18 to 7-12 result.
Texts will be sent regarding coaching and blitzes this Saturday morning. The under 10s travel to Milford for a blitz. All players to be in Milford for 11 o clock. On Saturday week we are hosting an under 8 blitz and would appreciate if some parents could contact Eddie Harkin to help with teas etc.
The Cul camp takes place this year at the Burn Road from Monday the 13th to Friday the 17th of August. Mark the date in the diary for our future stars. By registering online with Kellogg’s parents can save €5 off the cost of the camp. See packs for details.
Ladies Board:
Under 16 training takes place every Thursday at 5.30. All new players welcome.
The 13 aside ladies had an excellent result on Sunday morning drawing with a strong Glenfin side. Caroline Gallagher, Orlaith Trearty and Maureen O Donnell were best for Termon. The junior ladies play Buncrana this Sunday at 12 noon in the first leg of the championship. Good luck to Harry and the girls.
The u12 girls may have a blitz this Saturday morning in Milford. Contact Lisa McGlynn for details.
Mens Board:
Our seniors and reserves took on Red Hughes on Sunday with the reserves getting an important win with Mark and Charles Gallagher sharing the goals. A depleted senior panel took on Red Hughes and a few contentious decisions from the officials near the end of a game led to a defeat in a game Termon had been leading for its entirety. Both teams are home to Burt this Saturday at 6 and 7.30.
Lotto:
The Lotto draw took place in McClaffertys, Churchill on Friday last. The numbers drawn were 6,11, 18 and 25. There was no match 4 winner. John Harkin jnr matched 3 numbers and won €80. Donna Carr and Kate Flanagan were drawn in the open draw and won €10 each. Next week’s draw takes place in the Glenveagh Inn. Eddie Harkin and Brian McDaid are the coordinators. The jackpot is now €650.
