Congratulations: The club would like to congratulate Ryan Bradley and the entire Donegal squad on their excellent victory over Tyrone in the Ulster Championship Semi-Final, to set up an exciting final with Down. Ryan was particularly impressive for Donegal and was awarded RTÉ Man of the Match for his efforts. Well done Ryan and best of the luck in the final.

Minor Hurling: Congratulations to the clubs Minor Hurlers who claimed the Donegal B League final in O’Donnell Park Letterkenny on Thursday last. The game was played in ideal conditions and the Scarvey boys were on fire from the throw in. Their crisper sharper stick work was evident against a physical Mac Cumhaills side, and Buncrana lead at half time by 7 points. Particularly pleasing to the management was the accuracy in front of goal. The young hurlers, with all but two are underage next year, showed great discipline throughout and no doubt will move on next year to contest A finals. The management would like to thank all the players for their efforts and to the few boys who came into squad at late notice to cover some injuries. The game was put out of reach of the Ballybofey side by a flurry of Buncrana scores late in the second half. Final score 2-16 to 0-6. A speedy recovery is wished to Aedan Stokes who suffered a bad knee injury on the night.Team: Tom Clare, Paul Nelson, Dermot Doherty, Caoimhin Mac Lochlainn, Conor Grant, Daniel Wilson(capt), Aedan Stokes, Denver Coyle, Stephen Nelson, Jack O Loughlin, Sam (roe) Doherty, Michael Farrell, Patrick Kelly, John Campbell, Conor mc Glynn, John Hegarty. Senior Football: On Sunday afternoon Buncrana faced local rivals Urris in the All-County league at the Scarvey. The home side began well, resistering 2 points in the opening 5 mins of the game, however their dominance of possession was short-lived as Urris began to come in to the game. The remainder of the first half was a scrappy affair, with both sides creating chances yet failing to convert. The accurate free taking of the Urris full forward ensured that both sides went in at the break with 5 points. HT 0-5 0-5.
In the second half remained close with both sides cancelling scores out. Urris were awarded a penalty midway through the second half, which was duly converted to give the visitors a 2 point lead with 5 minutes remaining. Buncrana were putting the visitors under a lot of pressure and managed to register 2 points in the final 5 minutes to earn a valuable point. FT 0-11 1-8
