It’s not difficult giving some encouragement to young soccer stars of the future by telling them they could play for Man Utd on day.
But when you have two such rising stars in the room and they both come from Donegal, then the coache’s job becomes a little easier.
That was exactly the scenario as Letterkenny Rovers held a very successful end of season Schoolboys and Youth presentation function last night at the Station House Hotel Letterkenny.
The special guest was Manchester United Academy goalkeeper Joe Coll who hails from Meenlaragh while also present was youth team player Ryan McConnell who is moving to join the Red Devils this very wekend.
Speakers on the night were outgoing Letterkenny Town Mayor Cllr Gerry McMonagle and club Chariman Dessie Kelly. A special presentation was made to Ryan while a special thanks went to Diarmaid Doherty who was MC for the night.
