Lotto
As a result of training being cancelled on Friday evening a number of lotto tickets were not returned for entry into this weeks draw. In the interest of fairness the Club decided not to have a draw this weekend. However next weekend there will be a double draw and all tickets sold last week and this week will be entered into both draws.
Jackpot next week will be €4,240
Senior Men
The senior men were away to Lifford last weekend and were unlucky not to come away with a share of the spoils as a Lifford goal in the last minute gave them the points on a scoreline of 1-10 to 10 points. This was a tit for tat game with neither side able to break clear. The sides went into halftime level at six points apiece and the second half pretty much followed the trend of the first with the two sides trading point for point. It continued this way right to the end before a goal for Lifford snatched them victory.
Senior Ladies
The senior ladies made it four out of four in the league with a win over Dungloe on a scoreline of 3-12 to 0-1. Despite not having had a game for five weeks the girls flew out of the starting blocks and soon built up a lead that they were never going to relinquish. This was a hard game for the girls as the two teams played eleven a side due to a shortage of players. This meant that there was a lot of ground to cover and the girls did so brilliantly and never let up on the intensity for the whole game. Player of the match was our newest county player Orla Harrisson and she was ably assisted by Bridgeen Devenny, Karen Peoples and Aisling McBride. next up for the girls is championship on the 8th July.
Under 14 Girls
The under 14 girls had a great win over local rivals Termon last week on a scorline of 5-12 to 0-1. This was a great team performance from the girls as they dominated the game from start to finish. The girls have now qualified for the county semi-final next Tuesday with their opponents and the venue to be announced. Best of luck to Marty, Annie, Louis and all the panel.
