Large crowds lined Lough Swilly last night for a major training exercise was held by the coastguard.
The exercise will involve a mock fire on the Lough Swilly Ferry and a likely mass rescue that would result.
The teams involved included the coast guard helicopter, the Lough Swilly Lifeboat and the Greencastle Coastguard.
The exerice, which was described as a complete success, took place betwenn 7 and 9pm.
