Team News
Portsalon’s brief run in this season’s Donegal League came unstuck on Friday evening last, when the return leg against Otway golf club was played. Following the first leg the Otway team led by four matches to one and had a ten hole advantage. The final matches were called in when it became evident that the home club could not advance and Otway went through. Team captain Cathal Toland congratulated Otway and wished them well in the next round. On Monday evening the over 50’s travelled to Rosapenna for their first leg match and the Rosguill men proved too strong and have a five match lead going into the return leg.The mixed foursomes qualifying was held at Rosapenna on Sunday last and the Portsalon team under Kevin Mc Gonagle failed to qualify by a slender margin
