It’s ‘do or die’ for Shay Given and the rest of the Irish team this evening as they battle to stay in Euro 2012.
Nothing less than a draw will keep Ireland’s dream alive.
Tens of thousands of Irish fans have travelled to Gdanzk for the crucial game against Spain.
And Lifford man Given knows he will have to be on top form to keep out one of the best teams in the world.
Shay said “We know they have quality but we are more than capable of getting a result. We must go into the game in a positive frame of mind and simply go for it.
“The fans have been terrific and we owe them a good performance. Hopefully that will come in this game,” he said.
