ULSTER SENIOR LEAGUE UPDATE
The DPD Courier Ulster Senior League Division One league season got underway on Saturday with two games played. Kildrum Tigers defeated Bonagee United by 2 goals to 1 at Station Road ,St Johnston. The “Tigers” took an early lead through Kevin Doran, Bonagee equalised thanks to a fine strike by Reece Shortt but substitute Damian Crossan scored a late winner for Dessie McGintys men.
In the other game, reigning champions Letterkenny Rovers had a 3-0 home victory over Drumkeen United. Rovers goals came from Ryan Carlin and a brace from young striker Keiran McPherson.
There are no games today in the 4Lanterns Ulster Senior League but there’s a round of fixtures this Wednesday including a clash between title favourites Kildrum Tigers and Cockhill Celtic, league leaders Derry City host Bonagee United and Buncranna Hearts with home advantage will be looking for a first win of the campaign against Drumkeen United.
