Derry City Reserves are the early leaders of this season’s Ulster Senior League after this weekend’s round of games.
City drew 3-3 with Kildrum Tigers in St Johnston.
Last year’s league winners Fanad United inflicted a second defeat in a row on Cockhill Celtic – Fanad ran out 2-0 winners with goals from Eunan Kelly and Seimi (Nanny) Friel.
Drumkeen United got their first win of the season after a 3-0 home victory over Bonagee United and Swilly Rovers and Letterkenny played out a 1-1 draw on Saturday evening (our pictures are from that game).
Letterkenny took the lead in this game after 40 seconds thanks to a Glenn Hamilton header but Swilly equalised through Ruairi Kelly.
On Saturday in the USL Div One League Cup, Swilly defeated Letterkenny Rovers by 2 goals to nil and Drumkeen United got the better of Bonagee United by the odd goal in 9.
