Pentecost Sunday
CORPUS CHRISTI PROCESSION
On Sunday 10th June, we celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi, the Body and Blood of Christ. We acknowledge our belief in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament. Of course we do this every day but on the Feast of Corpus Christi we take our belief in the words of Jesus ~ I am the Bread of Life ~ to the forefront of our minds.
Our EVENING OF PRAYER will begin at 4.30 pm with Eucharistic Adoration in the Cathedral. We will have two hours of led Adoration with prayer, reflection and singing. At 6.30 pm we will have our scheduled Mass and immediately afterwards we will walk with Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament over lower Ard O’Donnell onto the High Road and down Main Street. We will end with Benediction at Market Square.
We encourage groups, schools and organisations to make banners, buntings, flags or whatever. We encourage as many as possible to participate in this time with Jesus. Feel free to join with us at any point in this day of devotion to Jesus present in the Blessed Sacrament.
