Termon GAA Notes: Week Ending 15/05/12
Minor Board:
Well done to our Under 12 boys teams who both had convincing wins against St Michael’s on Monday evening at the Burn Road.
Termon GAA would like to thanks Ben McGuckian who spent most of Saturday with all age groups from U8 to U12 putting them through their paces in training and controlled games, all the children really enjoyed the experience and the coaches learned a little as well. In this photo Ben get’s the U10 & U12 squads warmed up for their training. Thanks to the parents for thier patience as the sessions ran over schedule and they had a lengthy wait for the boys and girls. The coaching sessions was of huge benefit to the coaches in attendance and they will have much more to offer in the weeks and months ahead.
The U8s begin their series of “blitz” competitions this Saturday morning in St Michaels. Times to be confirmed on Friday with a text to all parents. Any of the Kilmacrennan and Rathdonnell parents that are not able to attend due to the communions can contact Paddy Mc Menamin 087 2175234 or Eddie Harkin 086 6082512 and they will arrange transport to and from Dunfanaghy for any of the boys or girls.Congrats to Barry Gallagher who has been selected to play in the Cumann na mBunscoil half time game in Breffni Park in Cavan this Sunday during the Ulster Championship game. Coaching will continue as usual for the other groups on Saturday morning with the U6s, U10s boys and girls and U12 Girls all on from 10.30 – 11.30.

Ladies Board:
Best of luck to the County Minors and their Termon representatives in the Ulster minor final in Monaghan next Saturday at 3 o clock. Dara Kelly, Nicole McLaughlin, Emer Gallagher and Aisling Ryan are all hoping to be involved. Emer Gallagher captains the side and Maureen O Donnell is assistant manager. Best of luck to them all.
The Senior ladies are at home to rivals Moville at 11 this Sunday in an important league fixture.
The junior ladies are fixed to play Buncrana at 12 on Sunday in Buncrana.
Mens Board:
Our Seniors and Reserves travelled to Glencolumbcille on Sunday with a large number of players unavailable. Sadly neither sides was able to take the points home.
The reserves were defeated by 1-12 to 4 points. JR McDaid and Ricky Gallagher best for Termon. The seniors were unlucky to be defeated 0-7 to 0-4 despite struggling with the difficult conditions. Kevin McGettigan and Kevin Murray best for Termon.

Lotto:
The Lotto draw took place in the Lagoon on Friday last. The numbers drawn were 1,3,16 and 28. Paddy McDaid matched 3 numbers to win €80. The open draw winners were Sadie Cassidy and Michael Duffy. Next week’s draw takes place in McClaffertys, Churchill. Hugh Harkin and Bernard Gallagher are the coordinators. The jackpot is now €1050.
Burn Road Timetable
All managers are to take note of the calendar for the use of the Burn Road now in place at the Dressing Rooms. Any additional trainings and games times are to be cleared with Martin Friel. This is to ensure the pitch isn’t double booked in the busy weeks and months ahead.
