On Wednesday night both our U14 and Minor sides were playing, the under U14 side lost out to Kilcar after a good fight on a scoreline of 3-2 to 3-11. The St. John’s team put in another good shift and came out convincing winner, the score was 2-8 to 0-8.
The U16 Killybegs side, which is represented by a number of Naomh Ultan players, lost out in the U16 Division 1 Southern League Final after a very entertaining fixture in Dunkineely, the final score was Killybegs 3-7 to 2-12. Both Senior and Reserve teams were also in action over Sunday afternoon last, first up was the reserves in what turned out to be an easy run out for the lads.
Playing a weak Moville side they notched up a score of 5-17 to 1-9. Scorers were Adrian Nesbitt (3-2), Kevin O’Donnell (0-3), Martin Shovlin Jr, Matthew O’Donnell (1-1) Liam Kennedy (0-2), Paul Murrin, Martin Shovlin, Jonathan Cassidy, Donal Kelly, Kieran Battles & Colm Shovlin (0-1). Its also worth noting that was Ardian Nesbitt’s second hat-trick in as many games, a formidable feta to say the least. The Senior side, still missing a number of vital starters, lined out against Moville in a must win game after losing three games on the trout. At half time Moville had a convincing five point lead but the boys never gave up and fought hard until the end, which very much so prevailed as they took the two points on a scoreline of 2-12 to 1-14. Scores came from Alan Lyons (1-2), Dermot Gallier & Cian Kennedy (0-4). Aiden Duddy (1-0), Aaron Byrne (0-2).
