This is the Co Donegal house which went under the hammer at auction today – and sold for €17,000 above its reserve price of just €30,000!
The Mountcharles property is located on northern side of Lower Main Street, close to its junction with Station Road.
The property comprises a semi-detached house arranged over ground and first floors beneath a pitched roof and a detached garage.
The home was sold at auction today by Allsopspace.ie at the Shelbourne Hotel with a spokesman declaring his ‘delight’ at the price as several bidders tried to buy the property.
It’s understood it was bought by a Co Donegal bidder who paid €47,000 for it.
Also sold today was a one acre site near Convoy – with planning permission for six houses.
It had a reserve price of just €5,000 but sold for €23,000 in a bidding war.
