He is the most unlikely source of political rebellion.
But singer Daniel O’Donnell has said people need to help themselves to get out of the recession.
The singer was speaking as he prepares to officially open the Daniel O’Donnell Visitors Centre in Dungloe next Sunday.
Daniel said “Dungloe has suffered as much as everywhere else in the country from the downturn in the economy.
“I believe that rather than sitting back and waiting for the Government to get us out of this, we should do whatever we can ourselves for our communities,” he said.
The centre will open next Sunday at 2.30pm and a large crowd is expected at the centre which will feature an array of Daniel memorabilia.
