EX-CONVENT girls are set for a trip down memory lane next month – at reunion bash.
The year in celebration is 1985; the year Bob Geldof ran Live Aid at Wembley, the first commercial flight took off from Knock and in Ballinspittle in Co Cork two woman claimed to have seen a statue of Mary move!
The reunion is for students who started at Loreto convent in Letterkenny 1985.
One of organisers Helen Kelley told us: “We are holding a big get-together in Arena 7 on Saturday May 12th at 7.30pm. All money raised on the night will go to the Donegal Hospice.
“A great night is promised and we would like to thank everyone who has shown an interest to date, submitted photos (although some quite dubious!!) and shared their stories.
“Already it has been a great trip down memory lane and we haven’t even had the main event yet! Hope to see as many people as possible all there.”
