PARTS of Munster and Leinster are already suffering from a huge deluge of rain today – but Co Donegal for once could escape the worst of a storm hitting Ireland today.
However the county will face very heavy showers later this evening, Met Eireann told donegaldaily.com.
“Donegal will be drier for much of the day, with scattered heavy showers and some bright or sunny spells,” said a Met spokeswoman.
The showers could cause spot flooding locally.
“Generally however the northwest will escape the worst of the weather,” she added.
Further showers will hit the county later in the week, but these will be few and far between.
