THE Kilkenny hurling legend DJ Carey has been released from hospital today.
The 41-year-old collapsed with chest pains at a Garda station yesterday.
But he was able to walk out Kilkenny Hospital this afternoon as stars in the world of gaelic games rally around him.
Donegal footballer Dermot Brick Molloy said his thoughts were with DJ Carey and hoped he had a speedy recovery.
“He’s one of the greatest Irish sports people and a true legend of hurling,” said Molloy.
The five time All-Ireland winner and nine-time All-Star winner has kept his location secret in a bid to escape the attention of journalists who had camped outside his home in Gowran and St. Luke’s Hospital.
