Results
Over the Easter week end Portsalon golf club staged a number of open competitions. The events played in a mixed bag of weather from some mild calm to heavy rain conditions. Nevertheless the weather did not deter the large numbers which played over the three day holiday period. The events commenced on Friday with an open three ball team and the winners on the break of tie was the Mc Fadden family of John, Ciaran and Connor with 62.3, runners up Paschal Cullen Seamus Patton Jack Patton 62.3. On Saturday the event was a ladies and gents stableford sponsored by Mc Cormicks Pharmacy Milford and the results were as follows; Winner: Eoin Kelly (15) 41 point Runner Up: Odhran Mc Gowan (16) 40 points Gross: D P Logue (5) 32 points Third: Mark Mc Cormick (15) 38 points Fourth: Hugh Mc Ginley (21) 38 points Visitor: Roy McCrory (10) Letterkenny 37 points Best nines went to Davy Mc Laughlin (17) 21pts and Connor Mc Fadden (13) 22 points The CSS was 35 points. On Easter Sunday the winner of the open was John Mc Ginley (21) 40 points Runner Up: Bernard .Nash (18) 39 points Gross: Seamus . Patton (6) 30 points Visitor: R. McCrea (13) (Blackwood). Easter Monday saw the final day of the Easter golfing festival and the winner was Brian Deviln Dungannon (6) 42 points, runner up Michael Mc Fadden (20) 40 points, Gross Eamon Mc Dermott (3) 34 points third Hugh Mc Clafferty (14) Letterkenny 39 points, visitor Nial Carroll (5) Athlone 35 points. The CSS for home players was 36 points and for away players 33 points
Events
On Saturday 14th April there is an open gents competition and on Sunday 15th April a members competition. On Wednesday 18th April a gents open competition. A time sheet is in operation for all competitions at Portsalon Golf Club, contact 074 91 59459 for your tee time or go online at www.portsalongolfclub.com The first tee is reserved on Sunday 15th from 12.50 to 13.50 for the first leg of the Ulster Fourball match.
Gaeltacht League
Donal Callaghan will lead his team to Cloughaneeley Golf Club for the rescheduled match on Saturday 14th April with 10.30 a .m shotgun start. On Sunday 21st April Portsalon Gaeltacht team will travel to Nairn/Portnoo golf club for the final play-off and will also contest for the Gaeltacht Captain’s prize.
Change to Drop Off arrangements
As from Saturday last golfers are no longer required to drop of the fairways. Members are reminded that divot bags are provided and the Captain D P Logue encourages all members and visitors to use the bags to fill divots during their round.
Thanks
The Captain D P Logue would like to extend his to and the clubs thanks to the large number who turned out on Wednesday last week to the divot evening.
Placing
All members and visitors should note that six inch placing on all fairways only is in operation at Portsalon Golf Club.

Divot Bags
Members and visitors please note that divot bags are now available on entry to the first tee box. Please ensure that you pick up a bag and assist with the course maintenance
