Get yourself / your child Registered as a Member NOW!! Time is almost up! Anne will hold one FINAL Membership Registration Night this Thursday (tomorrow) March 29thin the Clubhouse from 7:30pm – 8:30pm. Anyone that is not registered won’t be playing this year as they won’t be covered by GAA Insurance. The club operates a Zero tolerance policy in regard to membership. Lotto members do not have to re-register…… sorry for shouting!!

Once again this week we said a sad farewell to another member of our 1956 Championship winning team with the passing of the Great Jack McDonagh. Jack has left us a lasting legacy with his family members still representing every facet of the club. May He Rest In Peace.
The All-County Leagues swing into action for 2012 this week. The Seniors and Reserves travel to Kilcar on Sunday for a tough opening for both new management teams of Eamon O’Boyle, Mickey McGeehin & Brendan Devenney at Senior and Noel Keaveny assisted by Paul Crampsie for the Reserves. The Juniors are still without a manager and may also be in action in O’Donnell Park on Saturday evening v Glenfin (tbc).
The U-16 Div. 1 footballers suffered another League defeat away to Burt on Sunday, they travel to MacCumhaills this Sunday. Best wishes to Rory Carr for a speedy recovery after suffering a leg injury on Sunday. The Div. 2 team were beaten by the Gaels on and they are at home again this week to Naomh Colmcille.
The Minor Hurlers start their league campaign this Thursday away to Setanta. Throw-in at 6:15pm. The U14 hurlers have their first game at home this Thursday at the same time.
Most teams have begun training for 2012, please stick to your allotted days and times.
U16 and U18 hurling training is on every Monday at 5:30pm in O’Donnell Park. All new hurlers welcome. U14 & U16 Camogie training every Monday 6pm. Bag pack in Tesco for County Camogie on Saturday 31st March 12-6pm to help pay for buses. Help wanted. Please contact Gavin if available.
Later this week the Club will be launching our “Lotto + 1” Campaign with its aim being to try and get more members / ex-pat’s / Black & Amber sympathisers signed up to the Club Lotto scheme. Members enjoy free Buses to all Official Co. competition, family membership is also included as well as 3 chances to win our weekly Lotto jackpot and also a €1,000 holiday Voucher for 1 lucky member. It will run throughout the month of April and more details will be sent in a club e-mail later in the week.
The Friday Evening Hurling & Camogie Academy will begin on April 13th and the Sunday Morning Football Academy will get underway on Sunday, April 15th.
Time is fast running out to get Registered for 2012. Anyone that hasn’t paid their membership by the end of this week will be ineligible to play in 2012. Please contact Anne Forde immediately if you need to register on 086-8342449. Anne will hold one Final Membership Registration for 2012 this Thursday, March 29th in the Clubhouse between 7:30pm – 8:30pm. Everyone must be on the Croke Park system by March 31st to be covered by Insurance.
There were 4 winners in this week’s Lotto Draw. They matched 3 numbers and win €25 each. The numbers were: 5-6-15-21. Eddie McCauley, Corkey ; Brian Kelly, Thorndale; Alan O’Connell, Errigal View (all card) and Padraig MacIomhair, Plunkett O’Boyle Tce. (Adrian) Winnings can be collected from Blake’s Bar.
We also extend our sympathies this week to the family and friends of the late Bridie Jordan.
