Ireland’s most northerly point is touching 20C today.
And that is making Donegal warmer than it is in parts of Italy, Greece and France.
The good news is we should have the same heat right through until Thursday.
And although temperatures will fall back to around 13C on Friday, the weekend is currently predicted to be dry.
Said a Met Eireann spokesman: “Friday will be mainly dry again though Northern and Northeastern parts will probably be dull, and there is also likely to be a good deal of cloud around elsewhere with a little brightness at times.
“As a result it will be cooler than recently with highest temperatures of 10 to 16 C, warmest in southern coastal counties in a moderate northwesterly wind.
“The weekend is looking mainly dry also with a mix of cloud and sunny spells. Daytime temperatures will range around 10 to 15 degrees and nights will be cold with frost and fog where cloud breaks. Winds will be mostly light Northerly or variable.
“Little change for Monday mainly dry with variable cloud in a moderate Northwest win.”
We’ll not complain about that!
