Over 200 Beaver Scouts (aged 6,7,8) travelled from all over Donegal and Derry to congregate at Lifford Rifle Club for the second annual Errigal Scout County Beaver Scout Challenge.
The eager Beavers participated in a variety of scouting activities such as shelter building, orienteering, abseiling, nature trails as well as a number of arts bases and not forgetting a lot of fun.
After a very fun packed energy sapping day the winning Group was announced, with Carndonagh coming out on top by the slightest of margins.
Joe Boland, group leader with host Group 19th Donegal (Lifford/Clonleigh) Scout Group. Said it was a great success thanks to the hard work and commitment of his Beaver Scout Leaders who provided a terrific programme of activities for the young people.
He wished Carndonagh all the best in their victory and looks forward to their hosting of the Challenge next year.
