On Sunday the 18th of March the club singles
stroke competition was played over the Sandy Hills
Links and the winner was Marty Carlin 8 with 69 nett bot.
Runner up was Matthew Coyle 19 with a 69 nett.
The gross winner was Sean Boyce with 83 gross.
Third place was Seamie McBride 21 with 71 nett.
The front nine winner was Michael McBride with
31.5 nett and the back nine winner was Garvin Toye
with 34.5 nett.
The club competition on Monday the 19th
over the Sandy Hills Links was won by
Kieran Gallagher with 37 pts, runner up was
Garvin Toye with 35 pts.
The gents open singles on Saturday the 17th over
the Sandy Hills Links was won by Joe McHugh 16
with 41 pts bot.
Runner up was Paul Travers 15 with 41 pts bot.
The gross winner was Michael Gallagher Jnr with 30 gross pts.
Third place was Denis Boyce 12 with 41 pts.
The front nine winner was Denis O’Kane 9 with
22 pts bot and the back nine winner was Kevin Hegarty
16 with 22 pts.
The Old Tom Morris Links will re open
this Friday the 23rd of March.
The €10 concessionary member green fee applies to the Sandy
Hills Links from Friday the 23rd and any member who wishes
to play must check in at the Pavilion Golf Shop before play.
Six inch placing not nearer the hole on fairways
only is in play on both courses.
The Rosapenna Golf Club night at the races fund raiser
was held in the Golf Pavilion last Saturday
where the golf club raised over €1,000 in total.
Many thanks to all the club members who sold the race cards
and attended the event on the night.
This Saturday the 24th of March the
Mayors Ball Charity Golf Day (Cllr. Noel McBride)
will take place over the Sandy Hills Links.
This is a Ladies & Gents Open Singles stableford competition.
The entry fee is just €20 per player to include Soup & Sandwiches.
Charities to benefit from the day include the St.Vincent De Paul,
Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland & Our Lady’s Children’s Hospital, Crumlin.

Also on Saturday the 24th the North-West Alliance
Captains Day (Mr Noel Callan) will take place over
the Old Tom Morris Links from 7.15am – 12.30pm.
There will be a club singles competition this
Sunday the 25th with the Easter Hamper taking
place on Sunday the 1st of April, both competitions
will take place over the Old Tom Morris Links.
There will be a club presentation of all outstanding prizes in
the Golf Pavilion on Sunday the 1st of April at 7.30pm sharp.
All members are kindly asked to keep all pull trolleys, electric
trolleys and drive buggies well back from the roped off putting green
surrounds and teeing grounds on all golf holes.
The last Gaeltacht League match will be played away
to Narin & Portnoo next Saturday the 31st of March.
The Captain’s Day of the Gaeltacht League will then
take place at Narin & Portnoo Golf Club on Saturday
the 21st of April.
The 2012 subscription to the Rosapenna Golf Resort,
payable in the Pavilion Golf Shop,
will include membership to the Rosapenna Golf Club.
All golf fees are now due and must be paid in full by the 14th of May 2012.
These fees cover the Old Tom Morris Links (18 holes) and the Coastguard Nine (9 holes).
There will be no competition vouchers issued by the golf club this year.
The Practice Ground is now open with the ball dispenser in operation daily.
PGA Professional Noel Callan is available for lessons at the Rosapenna Practice Ground
