Met Eireann and Irish Weather Online are both predicting high temperatures and light southerly winds by the middle of the week.
Today will start off dry across most of the county with temperatures around 10C, but there may be drizzle and some light showers by the afternoon, especially along the coasts.
Met Eireann forecast:
Tuesday and Wednesday will be mild, dry, bright days, with good sunny spells in most places each day. Top temperatures in the low to mid teens, in moderate south to southwest breezes. Cold each night with clear spells, some patches of mist or fog and some grass frosts also. Lowest temperatures 1 to 5 C.
Winds will turn more southeast to easterly for Thursday and Friday, moderate to fresh at times and some showers may affect parts of the east and south of the country. But there will still be a good deal of dry, bright weather, with sunny spells at times each day. Temperatures will range 10 to 15 C., best in the west. Mild in sunshine, but feeling cool on exposed coasts in the onshore breezes.
Irish Weather Online’s top forecaster Peter O’Donnell says he believes the mild weather will continue into next weekend and beyond.
The clocks go forward next Saturday night by one hour, bringing in Irish summertime – and longer evenings will be back.
