Gardai are examining the cause of a fire which broke out at the old council yard in Letterkenny this evening.
The fire at the yard, which is located on the Pearse Road, began just after 9.30pm.
The fire was quickly brought under control and there are no reports of any injuries.
A Garda patrol car was parked outside the area after the fire had been extinguished.
It is believed some damage was caused to materials in the yard.
