Letterkenny could be getting a new caravan and camping park.
An application has been sent to the local town council for permission for the site at The Glebe on the outskirts of the town.
The park will include 16 static caravan sites, 12 touring van spaces and also 8 camping spaces.
The application has been put in by local resident and businessman David Moore.
The facility will also include toilets, a laundry room and a reception area for holidaymakers.
The caravan park will be one of the first such facilities in the town.
A source said “This is a great application and hopefully it gets the green light.
“Tourism is the way forward and a lot of people look for places to park their touring van or their caravan and this will be the area for them.”
