PRIDE of place at the weekend goes to our new National indoor 1500 metres champion, Danny Mooney.
The Liverpool based student won the title with an impressive 3.52.83 final win-just two seconds ahead of his clubmate-Ruairi Finnegan (3.54.84).
This is a remarkable achievement by the ever improving Danny who is getting stronger by the week. Well done also to Dan King who finished in a time of 4.08 in the final.
Elsewhere our Olympic hopeful Maria McCambridge was second in a 10k (3.35) at the weekend while at the National Indoors the evergreen, Pauric McKinney, set a new national Over-45 record in the 3,000 metres with a time of 8.59.66.
Congratulations to Ciaran Doherty who recorded a new PB at 3000m indoors 8.33.93 which was a great run.
