For all travelling to Belfast to the indoors this weekend, the bus will be leaving for Odyssey on Saturday next at 6:40am sharp (10 euro per person on bus).
Congratulations to Sarah Doherty and Maedhbh Nic Giolla Bhríde on winning All-Ireland medals today (Sun 5th Feb) in Roscommon. Sarah was a member of the Donegal U-14 team that won the silver medals when finishing 22nd in the National Inter-County Grass Relay Ch’s. Maedhbh, a pupil at Scoil Mhuire, Doire Beaga was a member of the Donegal U-12 team which finished in 3rd place.
A group of athletes travelled to the Finn Valley Open Track and Field meetings last Wednesday evening. Patrick Marry 1st u-9 60m, Domhall Mic Ghiolla Bhride 1st u-11 60m and 1st Long Jump, Owen De Burca 3rd u-11 600m, Casey McGarvey 1st u-11 Shot, Bridget McDyre 3rd u15 Shot. There was notable performances from Saskia Boyle, Meadhbh Ni Giolla Bhride, Thomas Marry, Ultan Boyle, Millie Doherty and Cathal De Burca.
The first race of the Spring 5k Series took place last Sunday with a good turnout. Many thanks to all who helped and supported on the day. Results were : Senior Men: 1st Kevin Mc Gee 18.29. 2nd Michael Logue 18.54 3rd Noel Diver 19.22. Senior Ladies: 1st Fionnuala Diver 20.00 2nd Deirdre Diver 22.05 3rd Helen Mc Cready 23.13. Junior 4K: 1st Fintan Ó Dochartaigh 17.09 2nd Ferdia Ó Dochartaigh 19.41 3rd Aidan Mc Cole 21.37. The next race is scheduled for Sunday 26th February at 11am. Registration is now due so please contact Ita Gallagher or any committee member to get registered. 15 euro per child, 20 euro per adult and maximum fee of 40 euro per family.
