The annual Bord na nOg presentations took place on Sunday evening and the Clubhouse was packed to the rafters with a huge attendance. Gary Boyle Youth Officer outlined the year that was and the great attitude which is part of the under-age set up. He thanked the coaches and parents for all the help and support. Gary spoke about how hard work now was the most important factor in our youth and the work was showing at all levels. Award winners on the night were U-12 player of year – Declan Ward, U-14 player of the year – Daniel Devlin, U-16 player of the year – James Ferry, U-18 player of the year – Dara White. Achievement awards to Shane Gillespie and Shaun Burns. Thanks to Adi O’Gara and Marty Boyle, Naomh Conaill and Donegal Senior team, who presented the awards. Thanks to all for attending and helping out.

The under 8s and under 10s continue training this Saturday at the Sportshall at the RCS. Training will be outdoors this Saturday morning training on the Astro-pitch as the hall is unavailable. The under 8s will train from 11am – 12pm with the under 10s training from 12pm – 1pm.
Under 12 training continues every Tuesday at the RCS from 7pm – 8pm. This is for children born in 2000 and 2001.
If anyone has or knows where the electric pump for inflating the football is, could they return it to any member of the Committee or simply leave it in the clubhouse. This is a much needed part of equipment for club coaching staff.
Ladies and Girls training is going ahead in Aishlann at 7.30pm on Wednesday nights. Please make an effort to get to training as the Junior league starting date is 8th April and u14 starting date is 27th March. All teams are training together while we are indoors.We have four girls who have made the u14 county team panel; Sarah Doherty, Sadbha ni Bhaoill, Katie O’Donnell agus Ailbhe O’Donnell. The co. u16 trials are taking place and a number of girls are currently attending these sessions.

Comhghairdeas to club member and former player Mel O’Donnell on being selected as Donegal sports Star Primary School Teacher of the Year. Mel is a Teacher in Killamacrennan N.S. Well deserved honour for Mel and the O’Donnell Clan.
The Healthy Living program is going very well. Every Wednesday at 7pm at the Mullaghderg Banks.
