A unique GAA conference looking at injury prevention, conditioning and psychology with the game is to be held in Donegal.
The conference ‘Practical Tools on Injury Prevention, Strength & Conditioning and Psychology for GAA Coaches’ is on Friday the 3rd of February in Jackson’s Hotel in Ballybofey.
The cost of the conference is €10 and all profits go to The Lions Club to help local charities.
The idea of the conference is to give club and school managers, coaches and anyone interested in the area, practical information on how they can prepare their teams for the upcoming season.
It will look at the latest advances in areas of Injury Prevention and Rehabilitation, Strength & Conditioning, and Performance Psychology. Those who attend will then be able to go back to their teams and apply these methods.
Normally these events are held closer to Dublin and are expensive to access but this is a unique event, organised with the backing of the Donegal County Board who are hoping to see the rewards later in the club season.
