Termon GAA Notes: Week Ending 23/01/12
Ladies Board:
Congratulations to Emer Gallagher, Dara Kelly and Nicole Mc Laughlin who represented Ulster in winning the shield in the inaugural All Ireland schools inter-provincial tournament played at Kinnegad on Saturday .
Termon GAA is hosting the finals of the Karen Mc Glynn memorial cup on Saturday 28th January at the Burn Road. Teams taking part in this competition which is being run at minor level are St Michaels, St Eunans, Milford and Termon. First game is at 1pm. All support would be appreciated.
The club would like to offer its condolences to the extended Mc Daid family on the death of Mary Mc Daid, Milltown, Kilmacrenan.
Minor Board:
The Under 12 & Under 14 Boys Squads resume training in the Craoibhin on Friday 27th from 7.30pm – 9.30pm . All new players are welcome in those age groups, any queries contact either PJ McFadden on 086 864 1159 or Bernard Gallagher on 087 694 9165.
The Minor Board have produced an excellent 2012 calendar which is for sale in Gracie Stores, The Lagoon, Mandy Sweeney’s and The Millbridge store. Calendars cost €10. Eddie Harkin, Minor Board Chairman can also be contacted for a calendar on 086 608 2512.
Lotto:
The Lotto draw took place in the Glenveagh Inn on Friday last. The winning numbers were 4,5,22 and 23. There was no Jackpot winner, There was no match 3 winner. Caolon Mellet and Hugh Diver won €10 each in the open draw. Next weeks draw takes place in the Lagoon. Joe McDaid and Kathleen McSharry are the coordinators. The jackpot now is €1600.
Club Social:
The club social night takes place on the 10th of March 2012. Save the date now, more details and tickets will be available in the coming weeks.
Coaching
Anyone who wishes to participate in foundation or Level 1 coaching courses please contact coaching officer Brian Trearty on 086 340 6167.
The county board are hosting beginner and refresher referees courses on the 4th of February. Anyone thinking about becoming a referee should contact Hugh Harkin on 087 689 1967.
