Two men have been detained for questioning by murder squad detectives in connection with the death of a Donegal man outside his home in Glasgow.
William McKeeney, 57, was attacked in Melville Street in the Pollokshields area at about 00:40 on Sunday.
He died from his injuries after being taken to Victoria Infirmary.
Mr McKeeney, who was originally from Malin Head, was a labourer who had been living in Glasgow for the past five years.
His partner Annmarie witnessed the brutal assault.
A Strathclyde police spokesman told donegaldaily.com: “Two men were detained earlier today in connection with the death of Mr McKeeney. They are helping us with our inquiries.”
