UPDATE FOR TONIGHT – 8:19 PM
Cloud cover tonight will not be as bad as last night giving you star gazers looking to catch the northern lights a better chance of getting a glimpse of them.
Last night there were reports of them in the skies over Donegal in Ardara, Malin Head and Convoy. Anyone that does spot anything in the sky please take a photo and send it on to info@donegaldaily.com so it can be confirmed.
Thursday night is said to be the big night for them with a coronal mass ejection (CME) heading mainly for Venus might deliver a glancing blow to our plant, too, on Jan. 19th. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras when the cloud arrives says spaceweather.com
