Daffodils are thriving in the gardens and parks across the county as they bloom two months early.
And Met Eireann says the spring-like weather is set to continue, though there may be some night-time frosts – not unusual for this time of the year.

MET EIREANN FORCAST FOR THE REST OF THE WEEK: The outlook is for generally mild conditions for the time of year, with a good deal of dry weather. There’ll be outbreaks of rain overnight on Tuesday night, but the rain will clear all but northwestern parts towards dawn Wednesday. Temperatures will be higher than usual for the time of year and it will be rather cloudy on Wednesday. There may be some light rain or drizzle at times, mainly in western areas, but most places will be dry. It’ll be mostly dry on Thursday too, but rain and drizzle will affect parts of north Ulster. It will turn cold then on Thursday night with a slight or sharp frost developing under cloud breaks as winds will be light and some mist or fog will possibly form also. Friday will be mostly dry again, temperatures will be around normal for the time of year, perhaps a little below in places, and it will be cold over night with a sharp frost forming. The further outlook is for a cold and frosty weekend but it should be mainly dry.
