The owner of the ill-fated Flanagan’s Furniture Store has urged people to write to his store if they have paid for furniture which they have not received.
Brian Flanagan said he cannot give out any furniture as all of his assets have been frozen following the liquidation of the Buncrana store.
The company, which had five stores across Ireland, closed on Saturday evening with the loss of up to 50 jobs.
A spokesman for the store said staff had tried to contact as many people who had paid deposits as possible to let them know about the liquidation.
A number of people have since contacted the store saying they have paid for furniture which they have not received.
One woman said she had paid €3,000 for furniture which she had not received.
Mr Flanagan said if people contacted his store by letter, he would pass the letters on to the liquidator.
It is hoped that this liquidator will be appointed in the coming days.
