A Donegal shopowner has come up with a unique way of literally taking the weight of the feet of his older customers.
Mairtin Kelly and his team at Kelly’s Centra at Mountain Top in Letterkenny are always looking of different ways of offering a more customer friendly service.
This time, what’s on offer is very unique – a service for the OAPs & Retired People of the community.
A member of staff will do their shopping for them, while they enjoy a cup of tea or coffee free in the comfortable surrounds of the newly refurbished Kelly’s Restaurant.
The thinking behind this service is simple – Mairtin noticed a lot of local OAPs & Retired People shopping in the Centra Store at the Mountain Top and then popping in for a tea/coffee and a chat in the restaurant.
He asked these customers if they would like this type of service and he received a resounding YES, absolutely!!
To make this service even more attractive, one of the ladies suggested that the tea/coffee be given for free and that a biscuit or two would be nice!
“At this time in the OAPs & Retired People’s lives, they deserve to be pampered and looked after” said Mairtin Kelly, new proprietor at the Mountain Top.
“And wherever way we can do that, whether it’s carrying the shopping to the car, just being available for a chat or helping to get their shopping, we are always here to help”.
