A man who has spent his life collecting weird and wonderful items from around the world is to sell it tomorrow in one lot!
William Wilkin from Co Donegal has collected everything from lamps to limousines over the past 50 years.
Now he is to bring down the hammer on the lot and is expected to rake in a small fortune for it.
Included among the auction of more than 600 items is a collection of rare vintage cars and machinery.
Among the list of collectables is a 1940 Ford Anglia Tombstone, a mobile library, a fire engine and even a ‘Scooby Doo Limo’ – a customized Limousine Camper Van.
Other items include rare antiques, furniture and paintings.
William, from Creeslough, said it will be heartbreaking to see many of the items go.
“I have had some great times collecting all this stuff but I’m getting too old to be carrying it al around so I thought the best thing I could do was to move it on.
“I just hope people have as much pleasure with it as I have had collecting it over the years,” he said.
Auctioneer Boyd Robinson said there has been huge interest in the auction form across the country.
“Our phone literally hasn’t stopped and that’s not something we can say much lately.
“There is a huge interest in this because a lot of the stuff is very unusual.
“I’m not sure who would want to buy a Scooby Doo Limo but there’s something there for everyone,” he said.
The auction takes place in Creeslough on SATURDAY starting at 11am and lasting all day.
