An inquest begins this morning to attempt to identify a body which was washed up off the coast of Donegal almost 30 years ago.
The inquest, which will open under Coroner John Cannon, is expected to hear a number of depositions.
Among those depositions is expected to be Letterkenny man Jim McGlynn who believes the body could be that of his late brother Noel who went missing in June, 1983.
Detectives have already taken DNA samples from Mr McGlynn in a bid to make a possible match with the deceased man.
However it is thought the body from the grave in Dunfanaghy will have to be exhumed if this is to be carried out.
This decision will ultimately be taken by the coroner John Cannon.
