Pat Harvey, the former head of the local health board, has said he hopes his plans to build a private hospital in Letterkenny will get the go-ahead. Mr Harvey said: “It could create, three, four or five hundreds jobs.”

DONEGAL county council is the worst polluter in Co Donegal, a Sinn Fein TD has told a meeting in Milford. However Padraig MacLochlainn said there would be no point in campaigning against septic tanks laws – which could cost householders €20,000 – unless people are prepared to take a stand.

Local development company PJ McDermott & Son Construction Limited has reported a loss of €62,462 for last year.
CHARITY DAY
Alcorn’s Tropical World in Letterkenny is holding a charity fun day for all the family today from 10am to 4pm. It is being held to remember Thomas Alcorn who died in July. Proceeds from the BBQ fun day will go to Letterkenny hospital and the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation.
