A week in the life of Finn Valley AC and its members is hectic by any standard.
It began Friday last with the second annual training period in Ballyliffin attended by 30 members and led by Mark Connolly and Kieran Carlin – beautiful weather and the thumbs up were given by all the tired participants!
Wednesday and the promise of good weather sees the hosting of the primary schools cross country which has an 11-15 start followed by secondary schools in action on Thursday with an 11-30start time and of course if that weren’t enough the official opening of the new impressive track, pitch and floodlights Friday evening 7 pm.
All former and current members are invited as are interested members of the local community.
The opening will be performed by club stalwarts Patsy McGinley and Peader Mc Granaghan.
A large turnout is anticipated to mark the occassion, in this, the club’s 40th year.
The week finishes with the Donegal even age cross country clubs champ. and masters cross.
Attached are the cross country distances as were agreed by the county board for Donegal and by the UAC/ANI for Ulster for the season ahead
