With the start of the Irish Apprentice series imminent, Media Box caught up last week with the UK’s The Apprentice finalist, Jim Eastwood or as he has become affectionately known – Jedi Jim.
Speaking at an event hosted by Derry Chamber of Commerce, JSB made sure she got a chance to interview Jim about his unique experience and of course about how he made it so far in the process.
“this process is certainly not for the faint-hearted and what you see is definitely not the full story. We record 100 hours of footage for each one-hour series and I guess you see the best and the worst of us.”
Asked if he was disappointed not to become Lord Sugar’s business partner – this year the format was changed and the winner got a quarter of a million pounds investment from Lord Sugar – Jim laughs and says “it wasn’t for Lord Sugar but I’ve had many investors approach me and I am confident that I can develop my business idea.”
Jim wanted to bring employability workshops into schools by using e-learning and he continues to do these workshops today.
