Captain Michael Murphy, Goath Dobhair star Neil McGee and Four Masters defender Karl Lacey are all included in an initial panel.
However only McGee will travel to Dublin for training on Saturday.
Murphy is involved in important club action as Glenswilly take on Kilcar on Sunday in the semi-final of the County Championship.
And Lacey won’t be fit for another fortnight as he shakes off a knee injury from the match with Dublin last month.
“It would be a great experience to represent Ireland in Australia but I know it’s going to be tough to make the squad because there are so many experienced players,” said McGee.
Meanwhile McGee joins no less than SEVEN Donegal players have been named in the Ulster GAA All-Star team.
Also included were Mark McHugh, Michael Murphy, Colm McFadden, Frank McGlynn, Karl Lacey and who else but the brilliant Kevin Cassidy!
